She Lives!
Received yesterday from Peter, Bob's Dad;
"Becca has survived into 2007!
She had an amazing amount of energy over Christmas - and baked a cake and mince pies for Kev. Her knitting too has taken a rather more creative approach - and we have a delightful 'bakewell tart' as the centre piece of our table. As long as it holds its shape better than Kev's sweater!
Now almost a month into her new routine she was hoping to see dramatic improvements - but the skin lesions continue to multiply and are, at first, very sore. They do calm down, and some of the earlier ones almost disappear, but the fact that they are still appearing does drag down Becca's confidence. What a cruel disease this is.
Although her head still feels 'strange' she rarely suffers the once frequent 'flashing lights' and her sight is in a much better state. There are always positive signs on which we can focus. She will talk to Dr Callebout on 12th January and decide how to continue. And thanks to all you angels - she does have a choice.
We all wish you a very healthy 2007 - and thank you for continuing to give so much support.
With our love
Peter"
I'm sure everyone will extend their love back to Peter, Betty, Sam, Kevin and of course, Bob/Becca. Please give whatever you can afford. Happy New Year to all.
